Reflection
Why we chose police brutality was because we wanted to address this issue that people should know about. Show all the cases of police brutality that have happen over time and have justice for those victims of police brutality. The total hours we put into this project was everyday we were on task on the assignment we had to do. Our experienced through this project was we learned interesting stuff about my issue how us the citizens have more rights than a police officer. Police officers usually target people from racial discrimination. What we did to manage our time was to organize what were going to work on that day. For example one day we would work on our essays and other days on the website. Working in a group is a lot tougher because we have to mix our knowledge into the website and it has to be different information. That makes it kind of hard but it’s also better because you have 3 people brainstorming the issue so you get better information. Working with other people with my partners they were always on task working on their part of the project. Our original goal was to finish this project in less time but we had trouble with debate and controversy. Our issue is police brutality what we want is the audience to know and understand this issue is that police brutality is wrong and should be addressed. But also victims of police brutality should have justice and police officers who use excessive force should be terminated from the force. Have more consequences for these police officers who have committed the crime of police brutality. The grade we would give our group would be a solid B because we put are hard work and effort into this issue because we care about this issue. Just thinking about our work all done what we feel most proud of is getting our issue out there raise awareness about our issue. We want people to notice this issue and take action by supporting organizations against police brutality. If we could change one thing in our project it would be to talk more about the consequences police officers should get if they use excessive force. They should be fired and never allowed to be a police officer or maybe serve time for like a couple of months so they can learn their lesson. Our groups central question did not change at all it was always to have more strict rules or consequences for police officers who abuse their power to hurt people. The source that helped us the most was articles about misconduct incidents with police officers and stats. The advice our group would give for the students who are going to do the capstone is to not wait for the last minute because you will regret it stay on task.
